The 7,076 SF behavioral health outpatient clinic on the Valleywise Behavioral Health Center Mesa campus provides comprehensive care in a welcoming, supportive environment for SMI patients. Designed in response to unique site constraints, the program-driven plan maximizes building area while creating patient-centered individual and group spaces alongside efficient staff operations.

Natural light is prioritized throughout both patient and staff areas, fostering an uplifting atmosphere that supports healing, reduces stress and enhances workplace satisfaction. The design also takes advantage of the building’s distinctive footprint, transforming leftover negative space into outdoor seating and landscaped areas that extend the therapeutic environment beyond the interior.
