City of Tempe Community Center Master Plan

The master plan guides the long-term development of the Community Center Campus over the next 30 years, ensuring it maintains and strengthens its role as a centrally located hub of community resources and amenities. Key objectives included enhancing visibility within the community, improving the pedestrian experience, consolidating the Human Services Department and optimizing the use and functionality of plazas and campus buildings. Integrating sustainable design features and environmental improvements across the campus was also a priority. DWL proposed a phased implementation plan to conserve time and resources while equitably prioritizing improvements across campus departments.
