City of Scottsdale North Park + Ride

Project Details

Located on a 5.8-acre reclaimed site south of Scottsdale Airport, this project transformed a vacant lot into a site with beautiful form and functionality for transit passengers. It also provides a park-like destination for visitors from nearby businesses and residences. Drawing inspiration from the adjacent airport, the aviation-themed design incorporates community gathering spaces and distinct landmark architecture. Passenger amenities include shaded parking and waiting areas, bicycle racks, a chilled water fountain and a space for vending machines. A 700 SF multi-use building consists of an office area, a restroom and storage/support spaces. The Park and Ride is designed as a net-zero facility, and the site’s energy needs are powered by the sun through photovoltaic panels mounted on parking shade structures.
