Northern Arizona University Student + Academic Services
Project Details
This four-story, LEED® Gold certified 94,444 SF project was constructed on a tight, one-acre site in the heart of the campus. The first floor’s new ‘One-Stop’ Center consolidates all student services once scattered across campus while the adjacent Undergraduate Admissions Center includes a 5,000 SF, 154-seat auditorium. The second floor is home to the Lumberjack Mathematics Center, which includes 245 workstations, three large sub-dividable classrooms, an ADA/universal design compliant testing lab, and a sub-dividable tutorial room. The top two floors contain 156 academic/department faculty offices, conference rooms, easily reconfigurable into impromptu classrooms, and shared lounges with kitchenettes. The building’s massing, materials and exterior envelope drew inspiration from the forms and patterns of the Ponderosa Pine Forest surrounding the University.
