Burton Barr Central Library

Project Details

The Burton Barr Central Library is 280,000 SF of flexible space serving as Phoenix’s central library. The originality of this library displays the West’s natural beauty along with a world perspective of architectural history. Functionally, it represents a program of logical planning and an architectural commitment to the concept that a great building must possess: a visionary mindset that embraces the reality of change. The library is internationally recognized for its striking design. Locally, it has become a beacon on the Phoenix skyline, not only for its attractive facades and interiors but for the enrichment it provides to an ever-growing community.
