Valleywise Health North & South Community Health Centers
The new North and South Phoenix, single-story, 26,000 SF Community Health Centers are designed as prototypes for future clinics across the valley. Included are clinic space, pharmacy, lab, imaging and a family learning center. Both facilities are designed to be a 1.5 pod variation consisting of 18 exam rooms and three consult rooms. The facilities provide sufficient flexibility to accommodate a future 1/2 pod (six exam rooms) incremental clinic module. The clinic prototype was designed to operate as a true on-stage/off-stage workflow with two-door exam rooms and dedicated patient and provider hallways. Flexible exam room layouts allow for multiple exam table reconfigurations to accommodate general, pediatrics and OB/GYN. Natural daylighting was introduced within all the care team’s core areas for an overall healthier and higher quality work environment.
DWL is currently working on six additional Valleywise Community Health Centers throughout the valley (three site evaluations, and three site adaptations of the original DWL prototypes).
