The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. City of Scottsdale's Appaloosa Branch Library & Arizona State University's Police Department, as well as Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College are LEED Gold certified, with two additional projects in the process of LEED certification.

DWL Architects is excited to have been more than just a spectator at last year’s Greenbuild 2009 conference. We joined the conference as an exhibitor to share with participants some of our experiences and lessons learned while working on our sustainable designed projects. In conjunction with Greenbuild 2009, the USGBC chose to offer a tour through one those projects, the City of Scottsdale’s Appaloosa Branch Library.
