The University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Biotechnology and Cancer Center includes state-of-the-art training and service capabilities. UNLV formed a partnership with the City of Las Vegas Metro Crime Lab to train employees in forensic science and especially in human DNA fingerprinting.

Program elements in the new Biotechnology Center include: Science Laboratories, Instructional Labs, Clean Rooms, Informal Interaction Study Areas, DNA Sequencing and Analysis Labs, Prep and Support Areas, and Chemistry Labs.
