Vista del Sol is the first phase of Arizona State University’s commitment to creating affordable
market-rate residential living opportunities at the “South Neighborhood” on the main Tempe Campus. In collaboration with American Campus Communities, DWL led a national team of designers and consultants to develop one of the largest student residential living complexes in the country. Project team members worked closely together to develop a contemporary and comprehensive approach towards the design of this project.

Vista del Sol is a 1,866-bed mixed-use student community offering deluxe apartment-style units in one of five distinctive residential communities, extensive resort amenities, dynamic mixed-use retail complex, secure covered parking and integrated academic technologies that promote a uniquely urban collegiate living and learning environment. The innovative design creates a supporting environment that responds to the individual student, while concurrently creating a community that stimulates social and cultural growth.
