DWL Architects + Planners, Inc.

Midwestern University - Glendale, Arizona
Dedicated to a tradition of the medical arts yet keen to explore high technology, Midwestern University worked with DWL to develop the new 144-acre Glendale campus as an extension of Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. DWL's relationship with Midwestern University began in 1995 with the Glendale campus master plan, and since then has grown to more than 1,200,000 SF of building development to accommodate a student and faculty of 2,500 within five colleges.

DWL continues to design buildings to meet Midwestern University’s expanding needs. Two colleges have been recently added on the Glendale campus: the College of Dental Medicine; and the Arizona College of Optometry. Scheduled for completion within the next year are two clinics supporting both these programs, which will provide a community-based practice where students and medical staff can gain valuable hands-on training. These join the recently opened Medical Clinic to form a three-building Medical Arts complex.

DWL considers it an honor to contribute to the future of one of the largest osteopathic medical schools in the country, and are proud of our ongoing relationship with Midwestern University.
