This facility is constructed on seven acres of a larger master-planned, multipurpose site. The building form is broken up to respond to the scale of the residential neighborhood. A palette of regional materials allows for creative reinterpretation in future buildings within the city's master plan.
The project encompasses four engine bays, living quarters for 12 fire department personnel, and administrative space for 75 officers and other support staff of the police department. Additionally, the building design accommodates a future crime laboratory.
